Mara S. Campo is a four-time Emmy Award-winning TV journalist, Webby Award-winning content creator, and founder of the beauty brand Hair by Mara.

Most recently, Mara served as a contributor and host for the acclaimed docuseries The Fall of Diddy (ID/Max). In addition to her television work, she has built a large and engaged social media audience of over 585,000 followers. Her innovative social media videos have gone viral numerous times, with over 200 million views. She was awarded the 2025 Webby Award—"the internet’s highest honor"—for Best Fashion and Beauty Content Creator.

The success of Mara’s DIY hair hack videos led her to create Hair by Mara, an upcoming wig, extensions, and product line designed to make luxury hair accessible to everyone.

Over her 15-year journalism career, Mara has covered many of the biggest news stories of the day. She has served as a correspondent for Good Morning America and The Today Show, and as an anchor for MSNBC, Discovery ID, and TV One. She has also contributed internationally across numerous news outlets and platforms.

The daughter of an African-American mother and Italian father, Mara holds dual U.S.-Italian citizenship, speaks fluent Italian, and can get by in Spanish and French. She lives in Harlem, New York, with her husband and two children.
